Rhinoplasty is surgery to reshape the nose. It can be done for aesthetic reasons, to improve breathing or both. A rhinoplasty can be combined with septal, turbinate or even sinus surgery if indicated. Regardless of your motivation for having surgery our goal is to give you a nose that works well, looks natural and fits your face. Dr. Wolpoe has performed thousands of these procedures to address cosmetic and functional issues and has extensive experience addressing problems that run from very subtle to major deformities. Minor problems can be addressed via an endonasal (closed approach) but the vast majority of rhinoplasties are done with an open approach. During the procedure a small incision is made in between the nostrils and additional incisions inside the nose itself. These incisions are closed meticulously to create a nearly invisible scar.
